The idea.

We Are. is all about sharing our stories and connecting with the people who live in our community. We want to celebrate the many things that happen here each day and remind us that we are all in this together.

Each edition is loosely themed around the conversations we think are important to have in our community. We started with ‘regionality’ and talked with people who are proof that living here in regional Australia is no barrier to success. Our second edition explores what it means to live in a richly diverse community, telling the stories of people of different ages, beliefs, abilities, backgrounds, careers, pursuits , preferences and identities.

Future editions are planned to explore our many and varied understandings of wellness, sustainability and family.

We’ve only just started to scratch the surface and already our suspicions have been confirmed: there are so many great stories to tell!

We hope you’ll join us on this journey of discovery.

keeping it simple

At We Are. Wagga Wagga, our approach to storytelling is simple - honest words and beautiful imagery.

To ensure our stories are given the space they deserve, we choose to be an advertising-free publication which means support for the We Are. vision is shown through magazine sales and valued partnerships with sponsors and businesses.

If you’d like to show your support, Buy  your copy of the magazine or Get Involved  today.

showing our support

In each edition of We Are. Wagga Wagga we hope to profile one of the many charity or not-for-profit organisations making a difference in our community.

In our second edition we feature the great work of the Wagga Women's Health Centre and $1 from every sale will go towards supporting the important work this dedicated group of women does. If you’d like to learn more about this amazing organisation, how you can help, or make a donation, visit Wagga Women's Health Centre.

EDITORS

“From the moment you meet them, you can see Peit and Bel’s passion for storytelling. They eat, breathe and think in story and get so excited with each interview they do. A great team, I love their ability to unearth the stories of our community and I look forward to working with them on each edition of ‘We Are’.” Jackie

Jaqueline Cooper
PHOTOGRAPHER

“Jackie’s business is Jack of Hearts Studio and that’s no mistake. She leads with the heart and always captures the emotion of her subject perfectly. We’re blessed to have by our sides on the ‘We Are. Wagga Wagga’ project because for Jack, storytelling through photography is second nature.” Peita

Elizabeth Robinson
DESIGNER

“Liz approaches design in the same way she approaches everything in life – simply, with love. Far beyond elements on a page, her talents extend to textiles, drawing and anything that inspires her.  Lucky for us, she does it all with her ever-artful eye, skilful touch and beautiful spirit.” Bel
